FEC to host August 30 Candidate 101 Webinar (2023)
On Wednesday, August 30, the FEC will offer a webinar for first-time candidates, potential candidates, their campaign committees and staff. Ahead of the 2024 elections, our Candidate 101: Getting Started Webinar will provide an introduction to the campaign finance laws and regulations that apply to federal candidates and campaigns. We’ll cover candidate registration, treasurer responsibilities, contribution limits and prohibitions, reporting requirements, and more.
This live, two-hour training event will be led by staff from the FEC’s Information Division, and participants will be able to interact with presenters and get real-time answers to their campaign finance questions.

Webinar information
An email containing a link to workshop materials and log-in instructions will be sent to registered participants on August 29. The webinar will take place online via Zoom.
Registration information
The registration fee is $20. To register, visit the FEC Training Payment page on Pay.gov (the government’s secure portal for online payments). Please note that refunds of automated clearinghouse (ACH) payments are not readily available.
Learning credits
The FEC will provide all attendees with a letter certifying participation, which participants can use to independently apply for CLE or other credits. Email Conferences@fec.gov if you have further questions related to educational credit.
